Great question that no one knows the answer to but that all of us Will answer. Problem is, when we know the answer, we wont be able to share it with anyone back here.

Just live your life. make each day count.

depends.

you either get buried and become fertilizer, you get cremated and become fertilizer, or you choose some miscellaneous third option and eventually become fertilizer, assuming there's something left of you.

honestly, I always wanted to believe we got to do it over again, and maybe again after that. Not with all our knowledge our our same families or personality or anything. Like your consciousness, or "spirit" or whatever learns some important lesson(s) in every lifetime on the road to enlightenment. You've got to learn to deal with greed and loss and taxes, and eventually you become fulfilled. This is where I diverge though, because i'm not so sure about the idea of an astral plan, where beings consist of purely energy.

Ultimately, I consider myself an existentialist, in that I know we're not here to fulfill any higher purpose than the purpose of evolution. I will have a kid to replace myself, and teach it how to function within the herd, I mean, society. But in the end, the cycle continues, and we get smarter and smarter, until we kill ourselves with technology too advanced for our poor ego-centric peoples to handle, and we all die, and then the Earth cools and it was as though we never existed.

maybe I'm just a hippy. But I cant bring myself to believe in a god who would eternally condemn a man (even if he had done nothing but good throughout his life) just because he didnt say he belived in Christ...ya know?

Your body begins to slowly rot. If you're in a social area, generally they dispose of it somehow before it begins to stink and make people sick.
