What are the laws fo bying and owning an air gun in Illinois? Also what do I need to buy one?

I was looking at some on bass pro shops and it said that it is restricted to buy one in Illinois and some other states.

i live in illinois, and i know that you have to be 18 to buy it. it could require a FOID card, but i kinda doubt that, since air guns are nothing compared to the other weapons out there.

there are different laws depending on where you live in Illinois, i do believe you need an FOID (may only be true up near Chicago). best to check with the local cops.
