Yes, it is on the news and even channels like ESPN are devoting more time to it.
The awareness of soccer has increased in the past years, but indeed soccer is a sport the majority of Americans find boring.
I personally love it.
I can't believe the comment left by Johnson... how sad that someone will show their own ignorance in such way! Oh well!

Yes, many of us are aware, but i don't think soccer is really followed by many people in the USA. There's no football to watch right now, as someone said, but there's baseball and the NBA finals. Go Mavs :)

Americans don't like soccer, it's is for *******, and it's only a sport cause all them countries that play it are too poor to get a glove or a helmet or a stick or whatever. I heard that they usually play in the streets with a ball of trash tied up with a string. And the winners get to keep the ball and eat it later on that night.

Of course - it's been all over the news, and some channels will even be showing the games.
Sad that you'd even think you needed to ask.
also, it's not basketball or football season so there's none of that to watch.

I think that some of us know that it is going on and frankly don't care. Americans find soccer boring and I don't even know if we made the cut for our team to get in. Hope you enjoy it but I think I will work on my lawn this weekend and enjoy the summer.
