He's doing the best he can given the circumstances. Yes, he has made mistakes, and I don't agree with everything he's done, but I can't imagine anyone else doing any better.

I don't believe he lied about the cause for war in Iraq, I don't even believe he was wrong about the WMDs at all, he just lacked the specifics when we finally went in in March, 2003. He also relied (WAY too heavily, IMO) on our "allies" in the UN to stand behind us. His trying to rally up support gave Saddam all the warning he needed to hide his WMDs, so I wasn't the least bit surprised when they couldn't find them.

I don't think the Hurricane Katrina debacle was his fault. When he got the word, he did what any other president would have done, he called FEMA and told them to get in there. THAT'S when things really started to go wrong for New Orleans. FEMA was woefully unprepared to deal with a disaster on the scale of Katrina, and the infighting this produced is what doomed untold numbers of New Orleans residents. It wasn't until the National Guard were told to get THEIR asses in gear that things finally began to happen.

There are many other examples I could give, but I think you can see what I'm getting at. No other president in history has been given so many serious challenges in so short a time as this one. Bush inherited a weakening economy, which has since rebounded. The country suffered the 9/11 attacks less than a year after he took office, and Al Qaida has been on the run ever since. Bush initiated the war in Iraq based on the intelligence he was given, which I still think was good intel, but he tried to rally support in the UN for too long and gave Saddam too much time to dispose of them (probably into Syria or Jordan). I don't think he is a bad person or a bad president, he's just unlucky. And he is also a lightning rod for everything that happens in the country.

No and neither does 70% of the Americans and probably 100% of other countries. I can't think of anything he has done that is good. I guess if you are rich and got 2 tax cuts that might be good for you!

Why do people ask this question? They already know what the majority think about the job he's done!!!

And wildraft, since when is losing the 2000 elections popular vote and only winning by 5 electoral college votes, after his brother botched the Florida elections, and the Supreme Court, 7 of 9 are repubs, stopped the ballot counting, winning an election?.

Bush never won the 2000 election! He stole it!

yes over all, the economy is way up, the dow is dong great.

He has added more social programs than any resent president, something almost unhead of for a republician president.

The war is doing great for a war, schools are back open, hospitals are open, training hospitals are open, people are getting back with real rights. now there will always be killings there, there has been for 4 thousand years, to them this is the way you do things, we will not change that for a generation or two., heck we have not wiped out racism in america yet, we have just slowed down the killing and the visable areas.

He has followed the political route on immigration and not done what the majority of the people have asked, so in that he has failed big time.

I would like to see how some of you liberals would do if YOU had the job and you had MORE damned liberals bucking YOU every step of the way. And don't call me a Bush lover, 'cause I'm not. I just get upset when people critizize others without knowing what it's like to be in their shoes. Guess that's what liberals do, huh?

the economy is doing great. there have been no attacks since 09/11. he is appointing conservative judges.

I would have to say he is doing a good job considering everything that has happened.

the man is not afraid to act and do what he thinks is right.
I admire that.

No, and he wasn't elected he was appointed and rigged the second election. We need a investigation of both elections so it won't happen again.
