Usually cheating is done on the quick. No "relationship" elements like true trust and frienship have been established...the "cheat" is usually because of "attraction" alone. And everyone knows, the "attraction" or sex is not anywhere as good without the "love".
So if LOVE = LUST + LIKE + TRUST, which is so true;
then after he's gotten his tension with the cheat satifsfied, it
smacks him in the brain, that's all there was...there's none of the true best part.
If you have a mate that is likely to cheat, explain this to them, and toss in that a you know another person that cheated, and your opinion is that "A cheat must be really INSECURE in their abilility to build a strong relationship, and that substituting with quick sex on the q.t. always makes the cheater ASHAMED and SORRY, and you think that kind of person is just a
male or female S L U T ....that can't be trusted, and doesn't appreciate what is good in their life.
Then tell you mate that you are SO GLAD that they are smarter and better than that.
Give them a sort of knowing smile, and walk away assured that they will likely never follow through with cheating again.
How could they, after your enlightening speeh.

because they are d.i.c.k.s. and thats all they think with. and they only regret that they got caught. not that they got cheated

Boredom, want to see if the greener else where.. but feel guilty after because they know they are wrong and risking a lot by committing the act they just had.

because they dont know how to get out of the relationship and once there caught they realize what wonderful thing they just lost

cause they were caught at it and wasnt as sneaky as they thought they were is only reason they regret it
