I'm talking about the swastika, the Nazi symbol. I mean, it's just a symbol; how come if it's featured in artwork or something this makes it "mature content"? I don't get it..is it really THAT terrifying in today's society? If a movie were to have swastikas would it be attacked by controversy and automatically given a PG-13 rating or something? Just wondering....

I learned that the swastika was around long before Hitler and WWII. To me, it is but another artistic rendition of the Christian cross. But I beleive that because Hitler used that symbol for his own evil intentions, and because so many people still associate the swastica with Nazism, it's considered offensive content.

Even though the Swastikas is really a symbol for peace, and many people do and many people dont know that. People dislike the Swastikas, because of what the Nazi'z made it stand for. Hate. and the Swastikas is still being use by hate groups today. So as to agree with someone else. It isnt the Symbol itself, its the meaning that is now attached to it. Its much like the word Ni**r that means ignorance, but with the way its used today its a negitive term towards blacks. ( and I dont care if a person is black or wite or orange) The word should be use at all any more.

the swastika has an ancient history in India and was appropriated and turned on its side to serve the Nazi's...the symbol today connotes the evil of Hitler and neo-nazi's...or not and it's just people's fear and predjudice that would censor the symbol. There is in fact nothing Christian about the swastika.

You answered your own question - it's the Nazi symbol. It's not the swastika itself, it's what it stands for.

Nothing wrong with it at all. I have a ring with the symbol on it. It is a part of history, that is all.

It is what it symbolizes, have you seen what they did to jewish people, it is so sad, and terrifying it makes me sick to think about it probably as well as others. So thats why people don't like it, because of what it represents.
