The answer is apparently yes, but supposedly he was unaware of the stuff he used as being steroids. Here is the story.
-------------------------------------------------
The BALCO Scandal

Barry Bonds on the March 13, 2006 cover of Sports IllustratedIn 2003, Bonds became embroiled in a scandal when Greg Anderson of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative, Bonds' trainer since 2000, was indicted by a federal grand jury and charged with supplying anabolic steroids to athletes, including a number of baseball players. This led to speculation that Bonds had used performance-enhancing drugs during a time when there was no mandatory testing in Major League Baseball. Bonds declared his innocence, attributing his changed physique and increased power to a strict regimen of bodybuilding and legitimate dietary supplements. On the internet, most noticeably on Fark.com, Barry is commonly referred to as Barry "Bighead" Bonds, in reference to a known symptom of steroid abuse that Barry apparently suffers from.

During grand jury testimony on December 4, 2003 — which was obtained through unknown means by the San Francisco Chronicle and published almost a year later, on December 3, 2004 [4] — Bonds said Anderson gave him a rubbing balm and a liquid substance he called "the cream" and "the clear". BALCO founder Victor Conte had identified "the clear" as the designer steroid THG, and prosecutors contended "the cream" was a testosterone-based ointment. Bonds said that at the time he did not believe them to be steroids. Bonds would later defend himself saying he "unknowingly" used steroids.

In August 2005, all four defendants in the BALCO steroid scandal trial, including Anderson, struck deals with federal prosecutors that did not require them to reveal names of athletes who may have used banned drugs.

Lets use this by facts

1.got bigger in a short ammount of time
2.has a bit of rage issues
3.kinda bad skin normally assosiated with roids
4.his trainer gave them to him and he used them. Thinking it was oil and creme. (I played college sports you know what you are takeing)
5.Abnormally larger head
6.When he stopped takeing them he couldnt hit a pitch to save his life batting average dropped to non excistant and pretty much doesnt have that extra bang to send the ball outta the park.

I would say he is INNOCENT??? He never touched steriods its all circumstantial conspiracy by his ex girlfriend (who he lied and cheated on and by the media cause he is a black player who know one likes) + the government is makeing up some story about him not paying taxes and his old ball club the Pirates also bad mouthing him because they are jelous of him.
Veruca Salt anyone.

"just to let you know the last part was all sarcastic"

You'd have to ask Barry and Barry says no but I don't know. He was always a great player whatever the case may be.
