Brand or Service.

Look for the service first. Check the major brands in your area, and look at the COVERAGE map. T-mobile's coverage map on-line is very accurate. Other brands show total coverage, when that is simply not true. Then look at the PRICE of the plan, carefully comparing the services that have good coverage in your area.

Once you have picked the service, review the FREE phones that are available. I have had AWESOME LUCK with Nokia phones. Their charger/battery system seems to hold a charge and recharge very quickly. Bot naturally, I have not owned every brand phone.

Look at the features carefully of the phone that you pick. You will probably have to use this phone for the duration of your phone contract. Buy the case and hands-free device at the same time.

I also recommend that you go to the actual Service Phone store that is owned by the company. There are many "FLY BY NIGHT" phone stores that deal with several services. But they may lack the inside technical information about the phones and service.

Good luck
