Ok, for anyone who didn't get it I was making fun of the traditional view against gay marriage. I wanted to hear heated responses and I got exactly what I what I asked for.

My personal view is that government should stay out of peoples lives as much as possible, and part of that is not interfering with who people can be with. Thank you all for answering and god bless.

OK, we get it. Your question is tongue in cheek.

Well, one reason they should be allowed to marry is, their ceremonies would be ...... FABULOUS!

Also, if you don't like them, remember.... the divorce rate is 50%, so you'd be doing a disservice to half these people.

If children are your reason for disliking the senate's decision, keep in mind that many heterosexuals are unable to reproduce, as well. And you will get much better, more serious answers if you ask your questions more respectfully. P.S. Now that I have REREAD the question, I feel like a dolt. Yes, it was a joke, and I'm glad I gave you the stuffy answer you were looking for. :O)

in case you do no longer desire gays to marry interior the Christian church, it is nice, it is the perogative of each faith. yet till you're completely ANTI-AMERICAN, you will desire to admit that persons in this u . s . a . have the stunning to get married in a civil, non-religious ceremony, and that counts as a valid legal marriage. So till you intend to start spitting on the flag and pooping on the form, you will desire to appreciate the separation of church and state, whether you do no longer particularly look after the belief. consequently, you would be able to desire to evaluate the gay marriage debate from a legal attitude, and not a spiritual attitude. you will possibly would desire to argue that homosexuality is a criminal offense, no longer a sin, that it inflicts injury on human beings in some way. I particularly have yet to verify everybody argue this convincingly and in a basically philosphical way, without resorting to their own religious ideals. So I agree that no religous team can or would desire to be compelled to accomplish or comprehend gay marriages; even however, interior the pastimes of civil rights, it is going to likely be accepted, and upheld, by ability of state and national regulation.

Hey, freakshow, I am married and I do not have kids or plan on having kids and will not be having kids. Does that mean I should not be allowed to be married or that my marriage will not last because I am missing that "vital" part? Are you really as stupid as you sound?

Most people who are offended by homosexuality are so because they are insecure in their own sexuality.
We are all human beings, we are all Americans, we all deserve the right to be miserable in marriage.
