If he promised to pick you up for a date at 7:00 but was there a little late, 7:15, would you break it off for that? No. But, if he promised to never sleep around and did. Yes!! I don't think it matters that he breaks some promises except the big ones. My husband of 13 years promised to take the trash out every Tues. night, but most of the time he forgets and I have to do it. YUCK!! But, that does not make an appt. at the divorce lawyers.

it sounds like you don't think so

if he had a good reason to break a promise then fair and well, he was drunk when he made it, it involves input from an outside influence or he would hurt someone to do it.

but it sound as if he is hurting you by breaking all these promises - and if he breaks then why does he make them. if they are important promises to you and you don't feel that he has a valid reason to break them than have a chat and tell him how you feel.

he'll either tell you to stop being stupid - in which case tell him to take a hike - or he will try to do better.

Sorry but if he truly loved you then NO he would not ,what you need to do is ask him why he makes promises he knows he is not going to keep ,i think you should have a talk and tell him just how it upsets you and if he does not listen or continues i really feel you need to decide if this is the type of relationship you are willing to put up with ,GOOD LUCK

Why would someone who loves you break all of the promises he makes? He may love you a little, but I don't think he's IN LOVE with you. Leave the guy. You deserve better...at least I hope you do.

prob not. If he just keeps it up over and over again do you think you need to keep puttin up with it. Apparently this is hurting you and it's not fair. So I think you need to get rid of him. Find someone who will mean what they say.

PS try not to make ever word a promise.promises are made to be broken and it sucks. Just dont put to much in a promise

HE PROBABLY DOES LOVE YOU, BUT IS ACTUALLY AFRAID OF TRUE COMMITMENT. HE WILL PROBABLY WANT TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH HIS MATES WHEN HE PROMISED YOU THAT HE WOULD SPEND THE NIGHT WITH YOU(this is an example).
