Absolutely!!! My approach is with arms wide open
(made possible only after making some tough decisions to change the things which sapped my passion for life).
Number one rule in life - don't complain, do something about it!!
People forget they are responsible for their own happiness and point fingers instead. We need three things: someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to.

I have a passion for your new avatar. Is there a time when my grey faced avatar and your technicolor avatar can get together? He may be grey, but he has a heart of gold. And he is always smiling. Were you a little girl in Germany during WWII? I dated a girl whose father was a small child in Germany during the war. She could never understand why he was so cynical and nihilistic. I tried to explain that perhaps seeing his whole world fall apart, even as a child, might have explained his attitude toward life. She was in therapy when I dated her, largely because of her relationship with her father.

I consider myself passionate. Life has dragged us all down, sideways, up, and over at times, but we keep marching on.
Certain things make me feel more passionate, some you will have to use your imagination on, others would be sports, good conversation, enjoying anything that is nice to look at, good to listen to, and fun to participate in.

Yes, it's better to live life with passion for things. Life would be dull otherwise.

Passion for life: Not my own, but I do have passion for people who have passion for life and I tend to enjoy with them, rejoice with them, and celebrate life with them. I appreciate such people with zest and spunk.

Passion for love: I love such people with passion for life. I love them, not just their body, but their soul, their personality.

Passion for everything: Not everything. Material things only count when they give joy to those I love. In themselves, I could hardly care for things. I can easily throw the most valuable if no one would care about such things.
