Did Tom Scholtz *really* play all the instruments on Boston's first album?

Some debate remains about the circumstances surrounding the recording of the album, with Scholz claiming the album consisted (with the exception of "Let Me Take You Home Tonight") of his guitar work and Brad Delp's vocals, and the new members (Fran Sheehan and Sib Hashian...who were not actually officially signed to the label) just played during the band's concert tour.
