My hubby and I are going to a Cubs game and want to be able to take a taxi to and from the game to our hotel room. We don't want to spend crazy amounts as we are doing that just going to the game. Any suggestions?

first, I would suggest taking the train versus cabs - much cheaper and faster, especially if you are going to the game. If you are open-minded, there are a few b&bs in the area but they are gay-friendly so if that is not something that you are not comfortable with, know that upfront -

as far as hotels, there are only a couple close to Wrigley Field but if you take the train - any hotel off the red line will drop you right at Wrigley Field - the Days Inn by Lincoln Park Zoo is usually fairly inexpensive - not a top notch hotel, but if you want to keep cash to spend elsewhere, it is a decent stay.

I would search on Hotels.com..they have a option where you can click which landmark you want to be by. Hopefully the w. field is one of them. Couldnt hurt to try!
