Uncomfortable but not disgusting.Look at all the films about ww1 and ww2.natzi treatment of the jews and other actual atrocities that film makers have made and we have watched on tv/cinema.Its more recent and was so unexpected and we saw it as it happened whereas most of us did not see ww1 or ww2.Since its not a documentary I suppose its for the money.

I disagree totally, I dont think it is disgusting lotsd of films aren't made for money but becuase the film director/maker wants to show something he/she feels is important and should be known about, the movie wasn't made about the Twin Tower attacks, it was made about a plane that was aimed at the Pentagon but the people on the plane tried to fight back, it is trying to describe the horror of that day and is NOT an attempt to make money, they are trying to show what happened becuase many people dont know because the media ignored it, I think it is at the right time as this is ther sort of time people start to move on and forget what really happened and what the newspapers didn't show.

Also, we need to move on from 9/11, sure we can reminisce but we need to be able to talk about it without mass hysteria otherwise we will never get over anything

It's not disgusting at all.
And, they're definitely not doing it for money. If they were, it would have been structured much better, and there would have actually been a plot with a beginning, rising action, climax, and falling action -- This movie only had half of those. They way I see it, it was just to put the information out there. Like, "This is what happened. We shouldn't forget it," in other words, they're trying to get people to reflect on the magnitude of certain events.
I hate terrorists as much as the next person; this movie was in no way disgusting.

i don't think it's the slightest bit disgusting. contraversial yes, too soon, definately, but not disgusting. you cannot ignore a subject like 9/11, no matter how much you want to sweep it under the carpet. this film is intended to show people what the media glossed over/ignored...what's wrong with that? films were made about concentration camps, the holocaust and so on, and they never faced such hostility. maybe try taking a more opened minded approach, i'm sure it won't be too bad

They had to do it sooner or later. What I think is, it's our stuff, so we have the right to do it. So be thankful it was done by americans, so it will be a sad film. Imagine if Al-Qaeda had done a film like this("We killed 3000 infidels!!!"). I'm not too happy about it either, but a movie is a movie. What are we poor mortals gonna do?(Don't they make movies about heroes? When they make movies about villains, it's so we can celebrate that they die in the end. How do we remember 9/11 in a movie? Heroes or villains?)

i thought it was a bit sick to make this movie so soon after September 11 , until someone at work told me that all the families of those on the flight agreed to the film being made and signed forms to say just that. The film makers apparently wouldn't have released the film without 100% approval from all concerned . so i have changed my mind a bit , but will make up my mind if i decide to see the film . I think its good that filmmakers make films on sensitive subjects as it provokes discussion on the matter

I think it's wrong that they made the movie only 5 years after 9/11. I think they should of waited maybe 10-20 years first. Remember a lot of tragedies are made into movies. It's only human nature to be intrigued.

Why are Americans so touchy? The IRA bombed hell out of England for years, they have had one disaster and all else pails into insignifigance. In time they will rewrite the story to suit America like for instance Saving Private Ryan. My father was on Omaha Beach before Tom Hanks but only Americans were shown. The Americans did not get the Enigma machine, Englishmen did. So stop whinging! We all live in troubled times and one nations grief does not overide anothers.

I don't but on the other hand I would find a film about the Dunblane shootings to be in bad taste. 9/11 is going to be the Pearl Harbour of the next 50 years I'm afraid

They made movies about Jewish concentration camps, WW1 and 2, the Vietnam War, the Boah war etc etc.

The reason they made the film is because there is a public demand for it. It also had the full support of many of the families involved.
