Equal?? This is a controversial question. Men and women are DIFFERENT....we each have certain things that we can do that the other sex cannot. Ask a male shovinist and he will say Hell NO, ask a feminist and she well say Hell Yes...now me, I am neither, but I am a women. I just think there are CERTAIN things that men can do that, while women CAN do them, they SHOULDN'T....Like be in the military. My hubby is an E5 in the Army and believe it or not, a lot of military people feel this way. Women just don't belong in Iraq with our Men....they can't fight so what's the point?? Hey, it's just my opinion. But now a days, women do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that a man does and I think that that is one of the problems with todays world....we as women are too focused on our careers and on the "If a man can do it, so can I" that we are not raising our children the way we should. I am a proud stay at home mom and while I am taking online college courses, I LOVE that I am here when my children come home from school.....I LOVE that my three year old has never had to stay with a stranger so I can further my career. NOW, of course I give ALL THE CREDIT IN THE WORLD to single mothers who HAVE to do it....I just think that the world would be a better place if we as mother, the ones who CAN, focused more on being a MOTHER than a soldier, or a career women. But I guess with that all said, YES, women are equal to men because we can carry a career and a family and a marriage. I just think that a womens focus should be on the latter two, family and marriage....I guess I am old fashioned and hey! I'm only 25!!

In a perfect world yes. Truthfully tho, they weill never be treated equally because some people must always feel superior to soomeone else. Both are different physcially onviously, but not mentally. Men have had a reputation for being more logical and mathematically capable, however that;s because for many years women dod not recieve equal education and those things were not made a priority to women. Women have a tendency to be more sympathetic, compassionate etc....I think that really only refers to maternal extincts, however even that is not carved in stone.
summary: Equal in abilities and potential. Many differences in physical aspects and abilities (birth, peeing standings up, multiple orgasms, etc)

Depends which field you are playing on and what game you are playing.
Playas: Equal
Reproductive: Women
Strength: Men
Agility: Equal
Morality: Equal
Faith: Equal
Intelligence: Equal
Longevity: Women
Testosterone: Men, (but watch it fellas after 60 you lose it and after menopause women get it)
Salary: Men (sorry ladies, after all these years it's only changed a couple of percentage points)
I believe we are all equal, just in different ways.

Maybe in the rights that they should be afforded men and women should be equal, but trying to argue that men and women are equal is just silly. In general men are clearly stronger and more physical, while women in general are clearly more emotional. One can see that men and women are not equal just by looking at them - we look different.

That depends on if you are talking about intelligence? If so yes,otherwise no. If a man works all day and comes home,he sits down,to rest. If a woman works all day she has to come home,cook,clean,If she has a family she has to take care of family including working husband,doesnt get to sit down.This isnt equality.Take an equally intellingent man and woman.While at work the man can only focus on the job at hand.The woman can do her job equally well,while setting up Dr.Dentist appointments.Planning Dinner Parties ETC;Men are hunters,they go straight to the chase,women are gatherers,they can do all the jobs at hand.

physically maybe yes except men can not make babies.
Socially man still make 40 cents on the dollar more than women for the same job. Men get promotion because they are expected to support a family and the women with families are expected to need time off for when the kids get sick or pregnancy...it is a double standard.
Many jobs are not given to women and to get a position that is traditionally a man's job, a woman must exceed the requirements...an employer will usually prefer a minority male over a female and minority women have a very difficult time with employment.
There is still no minority or female president though president . Bush has allowed and promoted women more fairly than the presidents of the past..though I personally think Conolisa Rice was qualified for her job many times over...she was a child genius and excelled far further than the predicessors...
Hillary Clinton may not be my personal first choice but she would certainly do wonders for the elderly and health care and she has been trying for years and no one will allow her to make the changes because of big industry finance on pharmaceuticals...now people are going to Mexico and Canada for medications, we are forced to comply with a better answer.
Women are a MAJORITY and we could get many rights if women who could vote would and women would stop allowing men to run the world. you were taught women were a minority but this is a lie. women sperm are stronger and swim faster and this is why more pregnancies are female.
More genetic Diseases are male and there are more disabled men. the world population will always be primarily female...we were created this way to continue reproduction for multiplication of the species...even in the animal world..one male is needed for many females...though not to be confused with the sanctity of marriage.
men were used to feed and protect the females and for procreation.
Ask a Christian who Deborah was, the next time they say men are to rule and control. If they read the Bible, they know that God gave her strength and wisdome.

The way I see it the longer the name the less important:
So A man = 3 words
woman=5 words
husband=7 words
wife= 4 words
So a woman is more important in a marriage and a man less important in a marriage. But to me equality rules!

Men and women are not equal. We don't even share some of the same body parts or body functions. A man can't bare children.

no, women and men are not equal and never will be. although im not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing. the problem is women think men are crazy and men think women are crazy, so we have no one in between to tell us if we're right or wrong about whos really crazy! (but my bet is its men that are) lol
