my husband and I are having problems with the land lord....wont
go into details much but here is the sum of it...we moved in three months ago with the promise of a working washer and dryer we have told them many times it does not work and they have done nothing. we are not suppost to block the drive way but the down stairs poeple do and they now them so they get in no trouble...so we have a hard time getting in and out and then there the rent and gas and water she suppost to call us and tell us the total after she divides the gad and water so we know the total to send her but she has never shown us a bill and doesn't tell us how much we owe her when she calles so what do we do help please

Check to see whether your city has a Tenant/Landlord Resolution Board. If not, call your city hall for the referral to the proper department in your area. You might also want to call your utilities with the address to determine what the total bill for the three month usage is. That way, you have some estimate. As for the appliances that are not working, if I don't repair my tenants appliances within 30 days of being notified, they have the right to have the repair made and deduct the expense from their rent upon presenting me with the receipt.

Call your local health department for your city. That should work if not call fair employment and housing.
