I have a baby back pack that my 11 month old son gets in and he loves it, you may also want to try an experiment where you let her play by herself, for one minute ( while you walk away ) then two minutes the next time... i have been to a baby analyst and she said anything you do different right now Will be confusing and over whelming... but that is life and things do have to change and some point. She DID say though not to let them cry for a long amount of time during this routine ( playing by herself longer and longer) because it overwhelms them too much. The point of the excersize is to let her know you will leave from time to time and come back... and it's okay to cry , that's her way of saying, i don't know how to deal with this, it's all a process of self soothe.

I went through the same thing from 9-12 months. That mixed in with the teething- I thought I was gonna lose it. He would get mad and scream if I talked on the phone to someone because he wasn't getting my full, complete attention.

Do you have her on a regular nap schedule?? If not, that will definately help. Every day from 2-4 my son napped. (Up until he was about 6 months old, he napped when he felt like it. Then I started putting him in his crib every day at the same time. He cried the first few days.... but then he got used to it.) It gave me some "me time."

Also, try setting up little "stations" for her. In her playyard, blanket on the floor with some toys, in her high chair, playing with magnets on the fridge, etc. Just try to keep her rotated while you take care of things. Hope things get easier for you. Soon, she'll be a toddler and will have this independent streak, wanting to do everything herself.

I have a 10 month old also. He's the same way. He's stays on me all the time.

I find some things help to distract him for a while, bright lights, windows media player ( u know the swirls that come on the screen when a song is playin) and the dog, oh yea and food (though he mostly just throws it around instead of actually eating it).

Thats about

Well, I learned that I messed up with mine by holding her none stop after she was born. This is why today at 14 months, she still wants to be held all the time. Dont know if this is like your problem, but in times of stress let someone else hold her. Or if thats not possible, I found cheerios in a cup w/lid helpfull for a few moments of me time.

It's rough. i have an 11 month old who will not let any one come near him. All he wants is me. He loves going to the store and riding in his stroller. It means actively participating in her entertainment, but at least you get excersize. My boy also loves bath time. Good luck.

it's normal. especially if your a stay at home mom. They know your the safe place and they just want to be safe all day long. just sit on the floor with him a lot so he gets use to it and play with toy with him start with him in your lap then on your feet then with you behind him next with you near him then with you on the couch and eventually he'll let you go to the other room. I use to just let my daughter help me with what i was doing loading the dishwasher, loading the washer/ dryer, and she would be near me but not touching me.
