Because of partial clouds, sun shower.

The clouds where the rain is coming from are directly above you. If at the same time the sun happens to be at an angle, where there are no clouds, you will have sunshine while it is raining.

The sun is always there..it's just hidden behind the rain clouds.

Winds aloft blow the rain over from a cloud that is not obscuring the sun.
