Well Liz.... make him a card and write him a poem about the way you feel about him.. decorate it with some ribbon.

Back his favorite cookie and or pie.

Make some hot chocolate and serve the cookies/pie and give him the card and light some candles.

I just thought of something else.

Go to a store and buy him a key chain, the ones where you can place a picture in it and put a picture of you or you and him in it..

Make a card with your hands write some good words and a list of promises that you will keep and they will make him happy.
Wash his car/truck,
Bake for him a homemade cake (it's too simple),
or create a giant-size cookie just for dad and personalize it to his interests.
Bring his breakfast on the bed early the morning,
Or give him a big kiss and tell him that you love him for ever, cause he's the best dad in the world!

An easy cake recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan or line a muffin pan with paper liners.
In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. For cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.

Why not have a picnic? Imagine lying down on a checkered blanket under the old oak tree with your boyfriend, with a wicker basket filled with a bottle of wine and food. I guess I've been watching too much comercials, but you could have something like that. Good luck.

Make a card. Say something nice that is true about him and how you feel about him. Give him a hug. Let him buy you lunch.

My dad likes homemade cards better than presents. Maybe you could also bake him some cookies or a yummy dinner!
