Start by getting into college. There are several different courses in sociology. I am doing a course on being a social worker for the sector of child abuse and speech therapy. From there, when you get to N.V.Q level 2 you can approach the social services and they can take you on as a student, where you will work with and under a fully qualified social worker and you can have your work graded by a senior worker who will access you on your skills. You can then go for higher grade of N.V.Q level (3) which will allow you to work on your own initiative. Good Luck with it.

I dont know where you are from. In the UK you need a diploma in Social work which takes two years of Study. With three years Study this can be upgraded to a Degree in Social Work which would give slightly better prospects.

Well, first, you need to get into a bad relationship with a drug addict and/or felon. Then you need to develop an eating disorder and cut yourself regularly. Starting drinking and smoking heavily and gain enough weight that you are at least 50 pounds heavier than the average person and register to vote as a democrat. After you do all of this, get a degree in psychology from your local community college. You are now ready for the field of social work.
