Maybe not the best...but right up there.
He is doing the necessary responsible work of confronting problems swiftly and soundly before they escalate to a point where they pose a real threat to the security of the free world.
He recognises these problems and is steadfast in his resolve to address them...not wishy-washy depending on the polls of the day.
Saddam Hussein was systematically exterminating the Kurdish people and the civilized nations of the world were obligated to remove him from power for that reason alone.
Those that say we were tricked into supporting the war are spouting nonsense as they were not supporters of the war in the first place and so were not tricked. The world believed the WMD existed based on information gathered long before Bush took office. That they weren't there is unimportant to the clear thinkers...who recognised the importance of Saddam's removal
WMD or not.
The mission WAS accomplished when the banner flew on the Aircraft carrier. Anyone who thinks the Iraq war continues needs to clean the wax out of their ears and use a little windex on their glasses.
The Al Quaida fanatics have descended upon Iraq and made it the battleground on the war on terror.
The Iraqi people have a freely elected government chosen by it's citizens for the first time in who-knows-how-long.
It is not the good citizens of Iraq that are beheading and car-bombing.
Things are bad now because the necessary work is being done that will secure the future security of the world...If we allowed Al Quaida and their ilk to flourish...they would not just go away as the anti-everything-Bush folks would want you to believe and we'd be screwed in the not too distant future.
Those nations that do not participate in the coalition of the willing are reaping the benefits of our sacrifice while not sharing in the responsibility...confident that we will do the dirty work.

Get a newspaper. That should give a good idea of why. Why can't George Washington or Abe lincoln ever be considered the best president? Why does it always have to be Bush??? They did WAY better things for the country!!!

As much as I support George Bush I would not classify him as the best president of all time. He is good, he has done what he said he would, he doesn't lie or have sex in the oval office and that is very refreshing. He has made some great strides but all those things do not qualify him as the best President of all time. There are some issues that he has not taken care of, but those issues and problems are because of lack of concern to take care of them from previous administrations.

George Bush.. isnt the best president of all time.. i think he is the dumbest... Mr. Bill Clinton.. was the best of all time.. so what the man got head in the oval room.. he is the only true human being that I've seen in office. and seriously its a good step that he has killed one of the guys from the terrorist threat.. but now they should let Iraq stand on its feet with their new government.. and bush should step back..and in Afghanistan.. as soon as they find bin ladin .. they should retreat from there too and let these country's stand on their own feet. let those solders come home and actually spend time with their children with there families. and maybe bush should actually listen to the people that voted him in.. well ****.

Disagree. He is the best liar of all time!

A poll of 146 Historians are already claiming he is the worst president we ever had and there is plenty of evidence to support that! And they also said that he is one president that time will not be kind to.

He has a 29% approval rating, and even less on how he has conducted the war.

bush is the worst. the only reason why he got the votes was because everyone thinks that just because hes a "good christian", he will be a good president. i am a christian and religious beliefs have nothing to do with whether or not u would make a good president or run a country. the USA might as well put me up there, im a good Christian! i think we should get rid of him. hes more concerned about other countries than his own, he wanted to bomb Irag and now hes trying to take care of its people. what about us? our jobless, our poor, our hungry and and ill. what are we supposed to do? i say we get Kerry up there where he belongs, maybe he could do better.

If you're referring to George Bush senior, I believe he was a good President that did great things for this country. If you're talking about his son, I disagree. He's managed to alienate the US from all of our allies (except Britian), has involved us in a quagmire of a conflict in Iraq for no good purpose, and has destroyed the economy (just look at the price of gasoline!).

Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington weren't xtian, they have been Deists that spoke harshly against xtianity. George W. Bush should not be theory-approximately kindly - like the three companies (well worth billions each) he bankrupt, he additionally bankrupt our united states of america which affected the international's financial device to boot. 'George became a solid xtian guy' - what's robust approximately believing in demons and hell and reacting to existence with panic?

Disagree. While he had the opportunity to become one of history's most profound presidents he - in my estimation - has blown it with some bad judgement. He took a very stable country -Iraq - and renedered it unstable. He spoke of deaths under Sadam but the death toll is higher now than it has ever been. He spoke of ties to Al Qiada. There were none because Bin Laden would not deal with Hussan because he saw Sadam's government as being secular. Now there are definate ties to Al Qida and our troops are dying nearly every day and there has been no advancement or gains. The insurgency is something that we should have foreseen and it is a winless situation. Bush has essentially gotten us wrapped up into another Viet Nam. Meanwhile on the domestic front his proposal to allow private investment of Social Security was absolutely a move to make the rich richer. Social Security was formed to protect senior's retirement from the whims of the market that he wanted to turn them over to. The Wall Street borkers were lined up ready to make a killing. He is now trying to divert us from the all the death and destruction and price gouging of his consituent oil companies by touting his opposition to homosexual marriage. It is the old tatic of when I screw up give them a diversion. The nation will be so divided on the gay issue that his blunders will be swept under the rug. I think America is too smart for that.

Another thing is he is selling our forefather's dream down the tubes. I remember learning of Nathan Hale saying "Give me liberty or give me death." He is tapping into American's phone conversations illegally and using fear as a justification. Have we lost the spirit of Nathan Hale? Have we become so fearful that we are willing to lay down the very things that set us apart from our enemies? Will we lay down the very things we are supposed to be fighting to uphold? His is the pary that claims they want small government. Yet under Bush the Government will dictate to the states who can marry, Government will chose what phone conversations are worth of privacy. Sounds like big government to me. Sound like George Orwell's vision. Bush will go down as one of history's worst leaders.
