It all depends on what's attracting you. You have first to find your personal interests and from there, there will be places that will obviously not work. Do you like the beach? Do you want to live in a big city, in the country? Your job search can also help: some jobs are only odffered in the city, some, both in the city and in the country. Is your life style high and very important to you? Do you want to own horses or horsepower?
I lived in New Orleans, I did not like the hot and humid weather. I lived in Europe, I did not like the cold weather. Wherever you have lived, there are great things about it. And bad things too. Do not think that the grass is greener here, it's just another shade of green... Got some good, got some bad. There is no place that will only have the good! You have to give up something. I am now in central Arkansas. A little country, no boose in town, you have to drive 20 miles to get some. But the kids can play in the streets, there is virtually no crime, it's hot, but not as humid as in New Orleans, it has 4 seasons, I love it!
Good luck

You need to chose a place to live that is good for both of you. My husband and I have been married for Two years and we live in Rochester NY. We just moved here last year because my husband lost his job. We have a cute little boy...we just began house hunting. I suggest that you look into the fixer up programs from the Fed government. Their plan is you purchase a home that needs to be fixed up, you live in it for five years, and you own it...you don't pay the rest of the Mortgage or whatever type of loan you took out. I also suggest you look into foreclosures. People who go bankrupt usually live in very nice homes, but can't afford them...they sell homes that were 300K for 70-100K I mean what a deal right? I really suggest looking into all that!
Good luck on your marriage! You got through the tough years!

Raleigh, North Carolina is a great place to live, very affordable, clean, very low crime rate, lots of jobs, population around 320,000 people but not all condensed, basically spread out through Wake County. I have been all over this country and I wouldn't live anywhere else, lots of people that live here say the same thing about Raleigh. Note: if your talking about just a house and not a City, my tip is to call a good manufactured home dealer and ask if they have anything on the line the builder put deposit on and never picked up, usually that way you can get a house that retails for $160,000 for around $80,000 which is manufacturing costs, but keep in mind you need some land to put it on

properly, to tell you the fact, i think of it seems which you've got the better of the two worlds :) it is purely 7 miles out, and so, in case you began to omit the city existence, all you may could desire to do is leap interior the motor vehicle and take off for a on an identical time as. Then decrease back residing house to the nation-state. i can not truly see any draw-backs to it. perhaps you're purely rather like me and apprehensive approximately shifting far off from what you comprehend. yet unquestionably i think of you would be nice.
