Because the "SUPERSTARS" are always traveling to fun exotic places where they spend most of their time hanging around with beautiful people. Business people if they travel stay in boring hotels and meet with other business people.
Also, usually stars are married to other stars who are very competitive with each other and put their careers first. Business people are married to "normal" people. I don't know that a marriage between two business people who were both always having to travel and boh putting their careers first would work out too well.

First of all, what do you consider a "great business person" to be? An entreprenuer, a CFO in a company, or perhaps a really sharp executive assistant? These are all people in the business world that could be considered great. Secondly, you must not have met a lot of accomplished or "great business people" in your life. I can only think of a handful of great business people who I know of that have truly strong Marital Relationships. Others only stay married out of fear of losing 1/2 of their assets. Most have been married more than once. You only think the superstars are worse off, but that's only because they get more press than the average "great businessman." You just don't hear of the personal defeats that often occur in the life of "great business people" like you do when it happens to an actress, musician, athlete or someone who is always in the public eye. On the other hand, look at Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. They've been together for like 30 years and they're still going strong (well, for all we know). Paul and Linda McCartney were together for just as long, until she lost her battle with cancer. So there are some positive stories about relationships of the rich and famous.

Because intelligence must play a part in running a successful business. There is often not so much pressure, or unexpected pressure at least, on business people. I think some "superstars" are so stupid that they actually don't know that they will get all the media attention and other strains. Business people don't tend to have so many accusations thrown at them by the media for the whole world to see. Their relationships would generally be more solid in the first place and superstars often marry people just for extra publicity rather than true love.

It seems fairly obvious though you wouldn't want to lump everybody together. Superstars are subject to pressures you don't know about, or if you do, won't talk about.
One, a great deal of money is involved. Two, and actually, this should be one - the phenomenal sway of influence held over millions of minds.
Personal importance soars nowhere higher. It definitely is a 'me' culture, but deceptively so. Few have the discipline to be as they should.
The business class isn't all that much different but within a seemingly traditional context. Actual physical/intellectual work is in fact involved.
Superstars deal in the ethereal, the evanescent. Fantasy. The business class deals with things you either need, or might need.
This is my take on it, don't you dare take it as a last word without your own legwork in it. Otay?

Wow, I can't believe how fiercely the obvious has been overlooked here. (That is assuming that great business people actually do have stronger marital relationships.)
Great business people are RARELY ever home! So the ones who actually do value their marital relationships are thankful for the time they get to spend together.
"Superstars" are with each other all the time and whenever that happens, one person is inevitably going to take the other for granted. They forget why they fell in love, and the things they used to find special about each other have become so commonplace, they just don't matter anymore, or they become really annoying.

I think they know how to manage their personal lives, have balance and communicate. They also know how to work on a task to get it done. They sacrifice themselves for the good of the transaction.
Superstars, movie stars, actors LOVE attention. They seem a little self-centered and may not know how to hand over attention to others. They seem to glide along without goals except to continue their looks, charm, and appeal. This doesn't really bring long-term relationship success.
However, there are exceptions like Donald Trump and Bono.

great business people understand the Principles of Life. That's how they became Great. Superstars are just someone whose image in the public puts their "Face" in front of those people who follow pop culture and the media. They just have a look, or a talent, or got very lucky. They haven't worked on themselves, in most cases, as a whole, just the part it took to get them that far. If you have ever heard of the theories comparing the law of the school versus the law of the farm, this applies. Great business people understand and live the law of the farm.

Because most business people know what responsibility really is. Most superstars got there because of their talent. Most business people had to go through business school which taught them to be more generally responsible adults, which reflects on their interpersonal relationships. Money and fame have nothing to do with it.

My guess is gonna be lack of privacy. I don't think people really understand the massive sacrifice you take when you choose celebrity. Privacy is perhaps the most valuable thing when you really think about it.... so in a case of a relationship, you have no time to work out small issues in private and look at the tabloids, people are constantly speculating on the end of your relationship. Must suck ***.
