I use the word at the beginning of a sentence, to caution the reader of a possible exception to the previous statements. Most others use it at the end of a sentence, and I am not being warned at the time of reading. I often feel "sand bagged" after I read it at the end. Opinions, plz.

I use however at the end, beginning and middle. Use away

I use it in both spots. However, it fits best in the beginning. I don't use it alot when talking however.

So just use 'however' whenever you want and you will be ok.

I use it many different ways. Examples:

"John liked his house, but Janie, however, didn't."

"However, these conditions are unsuitable."

"We should remain calm, however."
