How many countries in the world uses USA dollars for its Currency?

I was shocked to find out that Ecuador uses American Dollars as its curency..So I was wondering how many other countries use US Dollars as well.

I think Costa Rica and El Salvador also use them.

Every country I have visted would take US dollars. You might not get a good exchange, but in a pinch it is good to keep a few on you.

The US $100 bill is the most traded paper money in the world.

Far from it. We have some economic problems right now but we've had them before, much worse as a matter of fact. This is just a natural part how the economy works.We have always pulled out in the past and we will again. This is still the greatest country on earth.Why do you think we have such a big illegal alien problem? Everyone wants to be here.

Also, since the Bretton Woods Agreement, all countries in the world use the dollar as a reference to value their own currencies. (before, we used the gold as a point of comparison).
This means that if the US dollar keeps devaluating at the current rate, the whole world will go to Hell in a handbasket.
That's why the price of gold is also rising right now. People are losing confidence in world currency.

I don't know how many officially use them but I have heard that you can spend them in most countries. That is true in Jamaica I learned last month.
