I'm not sure if I am having a girl or boy yet, but I plan to have Xavier for a boy. I wanted to know your opinion on the spelling for the girl. Should it be (a.) Hailey or (b.) Haileigh

Haileigh. Hailey is so mainstream that it isn't really unique anymore. Haileigh is still pretty uncommon.

Haileigh looks really weird and confusing and looks like it should be pronounced (hay-lay) So I like Hailey.

Haily, Haileigh, Halee, Haylee, Hailey, Hayleigh -- I like your 'B' choice.
