I am in a pretty big predicament right now. My gf and I had sex for the first time on May 21. She is not on birth control and we used the pull out method. I am pretty certain I pulled out in time.

As I said, she is not on birth control but she usually started her period around the first of the month (June 1). This time she started on May 26 (6 days early). Her period was normal in length and heavyness. She has not had any pregnancy symptoms and says she feels fine.

She thinks some reasons she could have started early were: the IB-Profin she had been taking on a regular basis for her jaw pains, the fact that summer had just started so she was getting more sleep (sleeping habits changed), or that her eating habits had changed due to the jaw pains.

She is not worried but this has never happened to her before and she is 19. I have been told that a female's period can jump around, especially when there is no BC involved. Should I be worrying this much when she isn't?

It is possible that she might be pregnant because the pull-out method is not reliable and there is something called implantation bleeding that occurs prior to when she would have had her period.

Now .........that being said......... another reason that I have had my period early before is that whenever women change their environment and start hanging around different women their menstrual cycle can adapt to menstruate at the same time as the new group of women. In my case I went off to college..had my period.....came home for break 2 weeks later.......had my period along with my sister and mother, went back to college a week later.....started menstruating with the girls in my dorm again. After I freaked out and called the dr.'s office to ask if I could be pregnant (My now husband and I had been experimenting ) a new study came out that said "Women menstruate with the other women that they are around"

well no, not about an early period. i am pretty regular 26-28 days every month, but every couple of months i might be 3-5 days early. anyway what you should be worried about is a late or missed period signifying a possible pregnancy from lack of using protection!!!!!! silly and dangerous! the pull out method is still very dangerous. it only takes one sperm, and you will secrete ejaculate during intercourse before climax. haven't you noticed the clear liquid that appears at the tip of your penis during arousal? tha's baby making stuff too! did you know you can get a girl pregnant by just depositing sperm on the inside of her thigh? obviously not. the sperm have an agenda and they know exactly where to go and that they don't have much time to get there so for goodness sake wear a condon or better yet abstinance! you sound too young to be having sex when you do not know all the details. have some respect for yourselves and wait.

No she is probably not pregnant. An early period during pregnancy is not likely. But the truth is if you don't start using a better method of birth control, every single month will be like this. (oh my god.. is she, isnt she, what if she is.....) Since she already had her period, if she wants some piece of mind she can take a home pregnancy test just to be sure. I doubt she is pregnant, but the pull out method is the least safe method of birth control, she will get pregnant if you don't find a safer way. Good Luck

It's really going to depend on your body.Implantation bleeding normally occurs a week to a few days before your period would normally start. Spotting that occurs around a week after ovulation is likely implantation bleeding; whereas, spotting that occurs very close to the time that your period would normally start may not be. A normal menstrual cycle generally starts off light and then gets heavier. Your menstrual cycle may be switching up on you, or you may have just had an irregular period. I would just go ahead and do the pregnancy test. If its negative wait a week and do another. If you still feel like you might be request a blood test from your doctor. Good Luck to you and your husband

I probably would not worry about it. Periods do jump around from month to month in many women. The "pull out" method is risky though. You should both be using something.

She probably got it early because she was stressed out. If you are still worried, get a pregnancy test. Biggest lesson- use a condom or get her birth control. Don't be an idiot!

you should waer a condom and be more responsible no I dont think she would be pregnant if she is bleeding but watch out and if anything goes bad go to the dr like haevy bleeding for more than a normal period but I wish all these teenagers would quit having unprotected sex and ending up pregnant

shes probably not pregnant. most women have good intuition on that stuff but its good that you are taking this seriously and concerned about her
ps get a better form of BC so you dont have to stress as much.

you should not be worrying. A girls period varies alot and if she had a period then she obviously isn't pregnant. If she were pregnant there would be no bleeding involved at all.
