Office worker or blue collar? I've worked in both and if it's white collar in an office setting, you may want to contact an HR rep and let them be the bad guys, especially if you have to work with this person everyday (you're also probably not the only one he's offending). Blue collar.....I'd probably eat enough beans to blow him out of the shop or off the construction site. The best defense is a good offense I always say........

I have been experiencing this very problem for 5 plus years! We tried giving him a bottle of beano. We wrote several letters to management and Human Resources, but they haven't done anything about it. I suggested that everyone else food with a ton of fiber one day, and then not take a shower, and just sit here in their own filth hoping he would get the hint. So far no one has accepted that as a solution.

Go to the drug store and get him a package of beano and tell him it works for me ! It really does work as I use it when I eat navy beans. Good Luck

Carry some air freshener with you. Otherwise, talk to your boss about it discretely and ask him/her to deal with your co-worker as it really distracts you from your work.

light a candle at your desk....or some airfreshener or potpouri. if you get a candle...be sure they don't blow it out with their gas!!!!
