i want to find more punk rock bands like green day. i dont want to hear the newer punk rock bands like hawthorne heights, alll american rejects, and relient k. i hate all those bands. and i alreayd listen to older punk so dont list those.

I don't consider those bands you mentioned to be "punk rock" anyway, no offense. NOFX's older stuff is always powerful, so is Rancid, Propaghandi, the Vandals are funny, Bad Religion's older stuff is good too. Good luck!

You should be listening to the only real punk rock that's out there. The killer band goes by the name of Avril Levigne.

Yeah, Bad Religion rules although they are older, but have a new album. Also I really like Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, the scotch greens, and flogging molly.

Try some older offspring, specifically music from ixnay on the hombre. I don't know how greendayish it is but I think it's light enough you might like it.
My personal favorite album of theirs is ignition, give it a try if you like.

hey try Social Distortion those guys are really good the lead singer Mike Ness also has his own songs out.
