Yes- self-defence and if they are hysterical because sometimes that is the only way to calm them down.
However if you are a bloke and a woman is being violent you would be better to use force rather than actually hitting them and for the hysterical thing, you should get another woman to hit them if you can!

I think in self-defence then yes. Also I think if its like hitting them for fun thats just Stupid with a capital S.

When I was in school this idiot used to follow me down the corridor shouting abuse at me so I turned around one day and punched him in the face. I think that was acceptable because otherwise he would never have stopped making my life a misery.

Nop violence just cant be the answer….but only unless its like a self defense thing cause in those cases your not starting it and the other person has forced you to come down to that.. I guess

In my opinion, only in genuine necisary defense of somebody (including yourself).
As for boxing and martial arts, not decided on that.
And as for people who want to be hit.....thats just far too complicated.

In self-defense...or in defense of someone who is being attacked. My husband even hit one girl in his life....one of the five that had ganged up on his cousin and were holding him down and kicking him in the head.
