Yes, threw out the donut and put in a full sized spare (well kept the donut just in case 2 blew) and a heavy duty car jack. And a old 4 way lug wrench.
And a couple cans of fix-a-flat in case of 3 or 4 blown tires..... too much is never enough.
Oh and male.

Male, and yes I carry all those items. In fact, IMHO, changing a tire should be part of your Drivers' License exam. Anyone driving a car should know how to change a tire. Let the flame-war begin!

Yep done it many of times. In the middle of night. On a dirt road. No one for miles

When I was younger, I took a course called "Surviving with Style". It was for women and taught us how to do typically male things. We learned how to change the oil, fix flats, do simple home repairs etc...
I didn't know that it would stick with me, but about 3 years ago, I changed my own flat on my Durango. But I have to admit that I was VERY frightened to drive that vehicle that I had "fixed".

I am a chick and I could. It might take me a couple minutes because I would read the manual--chances are I would call the auto club because that is what we pay for, however I could and have changed tires. My father made me jack the car up and practice before he let me drive it.

Yes, I've had to do it once.
I am male, but I'm a mechanical idiot.
I have to factory supplied donut and crap-jack in the trunk.
