Personally, there is no greater relief than when Christmas is OVER!
After Christmas means my dysfunctional family will once again go their seperate ways.
I can watch TV without having to listen to my kids tell me how much they hope Santa brings them every single toy they see when the commercials come on.
Going to the mall is a more pleasant experience since there is no longer the fear of standing in a 6 hour line for Santa.
I won't have to be self-conscious about the dirty looks I'm getting as I'm dragging them (literally), screaming at the top of their lungs, past the line for Santa.
I can repack and put away all the Christmas stuff.
And finally...
I might just get a chance to sit back and put my feet up while my kids play with their new toys. (until they get bored with them, which should only take about 3 hours.)

I am more disappointed before Christmas even starts. Our society anymore is so focused on Santa Clause and fairy tales than the true meaning of Christmas which is the precious birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Technically we should be celebrating His Birthday, not commercialize His event like the stores do several months before his birthday!
When my parents were growing up the stores didn't have anything christmasy until after Thanksgiving. Now that is more acceptable to me than what they do now a days. As early as September stores and catalogs have their advertisements and displays all ready for Christmas. By the time Christmas is actually here, people grow tired of hearing about Christmas and all their joy and excitement over the true meaning is lost. To me this is sad.
What about you are you more often relieved or disappointed when Christmas is over or before?

Relieved!!!
I love it when Christmas is over, and I really love New Years because it means the year is over!
I also love to take down the tree and all of the decorations and really clean my house. I do it the day after Christmas, and sometimes even late that night. It's funny cause I like to decorate, have people over, etc, but then I really love cleaning it all up.
There's no need to feel disappointed though. the real reason for Christmas is to celebrate Jesus's birthday. I do celebrate that, but I also celebrate Him, worship Him, and live with HIm every day. It's not like He ever leaves.

Disappointed, but then I remember there is still Easter coming up and a few holidays before that. If the Christmas tree is dead and dry, I can't wait to get it out of the house.

I am relieved. I guess I put too much on myself, trying to carry on the traditions and trying to have everything perfect. It is weary and tiring and I am unable to focus on the meaningful activities because I am busy with all the secular traps. The most meaningful thing I did last Christmas was to spend an evening with my family packing food boxes for those less-fortunate.

A little of both. The house looks so empty after all the decorations are put away, but the work part is over.
