Something more positive to yesterday's question! The England international who has never had the credit he deserves, or who was/is better than most people say. My opinion, Gary Neville. Quick, good tackler, good crosser of the ball, good reader of the game, and multiple-trophy winner with his club. Okay, he might not be the most spectacular England player ever (certainly not an English Carlos Alberto Pereirra by any means) but you would behard pressed to find a better professional and a better attitude than his.

It is a toss up between Teddy Sheringham and Peter Beardsley. Both players create many opportunities for Messrs Shearer and Lineker, who recieved all the glory.

What about Rodney Marsh? He was a fantastic entertainer, and although highly rated by the supporters, never got a look in at international level after his infamous joke to Sir Alf Ramsey.

i think more than one player is under rated.And one or two are over rated.Gary Neville never gets the credit he deserves.But at the end of a game there were 11men on the pitch not one(over rated player)

Peter Beardsley. He was constantly criticised for not scoring enough goals but his partnership and record with lineker was amazing. Should have won a lot more caps than he did
