Personally, I don't have enough time or patience to go finding all the alternate endings; actor, director and writer's and favorite uncle of the cinematographer's commentary. Many times, the deleted scenes just provide conflicting ideas that go against the released version's storyline. Are you excited when DIRECTOR'S CUTS are released?

I hardly ever look at them unless I REALLY like the movie. And I have never listened to a commentary track in my life.

I've bought a couple of dvds for the extra goodies but it isn't always the selling point for me. I like to watch shows like First Look on HBO so I can see what went into making movies. As a matter of fact, after I saw First Look on the War of the Worlds release, I went to see it the next day! I enjoy seeing how they do the effects & I like seeing extra facts/points about the story. I usually prefer full screen to wide screen too - the black bars at the top & bottom of the screen are annoying to me!

Not really. I just love the bloopers/gag reels.
