In the Season Finale, the hybrid army continues to push the captors into the water as thousands of luminescent lights fall into it. There is some strong resistance, but it appears as if all humans will be pushed into the water and they will become hybrids. Larkin decides to hide Jesse and Rose under a flight of stairs so they can be safe. Meanwhile, Russell decides that he must help the humans, so he shoots down the lock on the door in the room Mariel and him are in and he leaves. Tom drives toward the action and prepares to fight back, while Szura tells the army to shoot anyone who tries to leave. Tom finally pulls up in front of the water and gets out, leaving Kira in. He picks up a gun and begins to shoot the army with the help of Russell who joins him. Suddenly, helicopters of the U.S. Air Force appear above the action and begin to round up the hybrids as well as take complete authority of the place. Furious, Szura takes Mariel with him and flees from the Air Force. Once everyone's safe, Russell and Tom soon see Lewis and Dave come out of a lead car and they realize that they brought the Air Force to the location. With everyone safe, Tom and Russell now must find Mariel and kill Szura.
Tom talks with Russell about the fact that Szura must be at a battery station that Tom appointed to him. They begin their search while Dave and Lewis are confronted by Jesse's friend Brett and a revolutionary. They order for Dave and Lewis to take them to Tom's house. Larkin, Jesse and Rose accompany them. Meanwhile, at the battery, Szura orders Mariel to deal with the birth of the hybrid babies, yet each one claims that they want to go to the water. Szura yet doesn't care about the mothers, only the offspring. Before Szura can do anything, several gunshots are heard from outside the dark room. Szura rushes out, gun in hand, trying to see what's happening. As he enters the fresh air several bullets just miss him and he soon realizes it's Tom and Russell who are attacking. Outnumbered two to one, Szura tries desperately to knock out one of them but he is delayed once a bullet strikes his chest. He retreats to a room in the station, as Tom confronts Mariel. Russell stays with her, while Tom enters the room Szura fled into. Tracking down blood marks, Tom sees water in the distance and knows it's a distraction. Almost sensing the room, Tom fires three straight bullets exactly behind him, and all three hit Szura in the chest. He falls to the floor but isn't dead yet. Szura goes for his weapon and picks it up, but before he can pull the trigger, Tom fires and hits Szura once more. Finally, Szura is dead. Russell, Tom, and Mariel leave the area before more hybrids come.
Meanwhile, Brett and his companion explore the Underlay's house yet no one is home. So, they lock up everyone and wait for his arrival. Silently though, Lewis uses his radio to contact Tom about the situation. Tom decides to check out the situation and lets Mariel and Russell take the pregnant women to the water. Once at the water, Russell gives a helping hand and the women enter the water. They are surrounded by alien fish and they are taken away for their birth. One women can't make it to the water, but the alien comes onto the land and takes her away as well. Russell and Mariel watch the amazing scene and realize that they must move on. Mariel begins to feel for Russell differently, like when they were married. They begin their ride home in a happy, gentle mood.
Back at the house, Lewis attempts to disarm or kill Brett and the revolutionary, who apparently only came for the money. Brett on the other hand wanted to find out what is going on with Tom and everything. But before Lewis can find them, a gun is pointed at his head. He as well as the rest of the hostages, are chained up in the double lock room Tom used earlier. Then, Tom arrives at the house and tries to disarm the revolutionary, but his weapon is taken away from him. Brett, though, finally gives in and he decides to leave. The other man is upset and he prepares to shoot Brett, but in an act of defense, Tom crashes into the revolutionary and the gun is fired but not at Brett. Suddenly, Tom searches for the bullet and it is shown through the door in which everyone is chained up. Then, Tom opens the door to see a blood soaked Larkin who had been shot by the bullet. Tom tries everything, but nothing works, and he soon realizes that he can do only one thing. He leaves Dave, Jesse and Rose in anguish as the two men leave.
Russell and Mariel soon see Tom's car by the beach. They pull over and walk toward Tom who is standing by the ocean. He prepares to put Larkin in the water, as it is the only way for her survival. Then, Russell asks Tom what's going on and Tom turns with empty hands. Russell asks "What happened, Tom what happened?" All Tom can do is watch with an empty face as Russell looks in agony. The show ends there, with the three of them standing by the beach, and only one of them knowing what happens. The screen goes dark, and Invasion ends in stunning fashion.

Omg It was so cool, some guys who did not like and are trying to indivially kill off hybrids, took Russells kids and his wife Larkin Kira and the deputy hostage, when Tom Underlay showed up to save the day, accidentially Larkin was ? fatally shot, and the ending was Tom Underlay taking Larkin out to the water, and Toms wife Muriel & Russell got there, only to see Tom covered in blood and walking away from the water without Larkin. So we are to assume, Larkin was put in the water for these things/hybrids to save her life, but also turn her into a hybrid...
