It could blow the bag open maybe or you'd have your popcorn soon. Actually, I've never heard of this happening and don't know. A true answer would come from someone it happened to.

OOH MY GOD!
Dont let the military hear about this. YOU'RE BRILLIANT. Who knew kernels of corn could be cute AND deadly. Wooooohahaha...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok one side note:
I noticed earlier you asked the question "What is the temperature at the center of an Ice cube? An Ice Burg?"
I wanted to add something that wasnt mentioned, but the question was in voting! Just wanted to add that that a layer of ice at the bottom of large heavy glaciers can actually become "supercooled" due to the enormous pressure of all the ice above it. Now I'm not 100% certain, but i think in that situation, the supercooled ice actually changes back to liquid water because its more compact than solid ice (thats why ice expands as it freezes). So yeah ice can get COOLER than freezing, but then it actually "melts"!
Its a very interesting phenomenon. Geoligists think in the past this may have led to huge glaciers building up tons of supercooled & pressurized water until it finally EXPLODES the glacier causing incredibly catastrophic and dramatic flooding of ginormous magnitude. They called these "megafloods."
Just a lil interesting nugget of info....
I learned that from watching an episode of NOVA http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/megaflood/about.html who knew TV could educate ;-)

The "POP" would be extra loud, but the bag is designed to contain the exploded volume of all of the kernels.

first you would hear a big pop and the bag might break, but the worst thing it would all burn, since the microwave would still be running..

A big mess to clean up, doubt it would hurt the microwave though.

Then you are going to have a chain reaction that could destroy the planet. This is a job for the A team.

You'd be chowing your popcorn now instead of 4 minutes from now.
