The Duke of Normandy, Sir William, who claimed the throne of England based on the promise of the previous King Edward the Confessor. King Harold, however, takes the throne and is defeated by Sir William who was summarily crowned the King, first Wizard of Oz deluxe...ooops, wrong story, i mean he became known as the Conqueror.
