I am trying to find the half way point so i can meet a friend of mine who is coming to tn for a visit. I am not sure where the half way point is and i do not know where a good meeting place might be (gas station, truck stop, etc.)

If you mean by "halfway" half the quickest way from La Vergne to Milford, then it would be around West Frankfort (Illinois) on Highway 57.
If you mean by "halfway" half the shortest way (it is not quick because it does not have much highways), then it would be the Junction of Highway 64 with US Road 41 near Haubstadt (Indiana).

Utilizing I-24 and I-57, Benton, Illinois, along I-57, would be an ideal meeting point.
The distance between La Vergne and Benton is 226 miles.
The distance between Milford and Benton is also 226 miles.
