Have you tried Incredimail games, they are 60 minutes trial, but if you don't turn them off you can usually play them to the end.

I noticed you already have quite a few answers to your question that have the standard web based games. You can also try anarchyonline.com to download an MMORPG for free. It does have in-game advertising but then again so do almost all webbased games and this one is a bit less intrusive.
