Unfortunately, you have learned a valuable lesson in life...females consider themselves to all be in competition with eachother...genetic, perhaps??? Men are not like this. They actually like other men and support them. This is a lesson my mother taught me when I was relatively young. Glad you have noticed. Beware of other females, even your best friend will knife you in the back if she can gain from it...of course, she will be the first to say, "I'm sorry" after the damage is done. Beware!

Dude, I so feel you. I have had a few jobs in the past 7 years, I've worked directly for both a man and a woman. Most woman in management/executive positions tend to forget where they came from and how they started, they feel they have something to prove to people so in turn they are more high maintenance, snobby, demanding and think they have to work looong hours to keep their place. Men really see things different, they don't have a chip on their shoulder and are laid back for the most part, they sure aren't as bad as women are.
I right now am the only female in my office and it's not that bad, I don't have anybody breathing down my neck all day, no micro-managing, I do have a nosey prick here and there but I can deal with that rather than a competitive woman feeling insecure about her job because you're smart.
I guess we're lucky now that we don't have any chicks above us. Woohoo!

I do. I would rather work with a bunch of men any day than a bunch of females. I've been in the same job I've got now for three years and I work with two other women and there are days where I wish I could just bash them upside the head. It's just that men know how to treat women and women don't know how to treat other women. They know how they want to be treated and that's all that matters.

I wish I could answer this question, because I know exactly what you're talking about! I used to work in a construction office and now work with ALL women. I definitely felt more appreciated and less stressed when I was at my old job. Maybe it's a competition, cattiness thing - I just can't seem to explain why.

Women seldom get along in an office environment. They team up on each other. And the teams always change weekly.
Men can get past petty the rivalries and conflicts and still get the job done without too much fuss.

Totally. Women suck to work with. It is our nature to gossip and hate others. Men are much more laid back. Thats why you'll often find the bitchiest of us have many more male friends... women can't handle the competition very well.

i enjoy working with men too
because at work, they are less complicated and they really know how to put personal and professional jobs aside.
but what i dont really like is they are to laid back that they always make me to chex on their work regularly.
owh and they are last minute do-er, and it bugs me like crazy sometimes.
but what i feel is, i have fun working with them, its all worthy all along the last minute job,the late hour and the late phone calls at wee hours.
women, i mean,im sorry, they tend to b emotional and is highly competitive, and they bit** a lot, and letting men to see the bit** fight all the way,and enjoying it.heh!

I work with mostly men. I love it. Girls seem to talk about each other way too much. No offense.

You are right-women can get too jealous of each other-and try to cause each other problems. But it does not have to be this way.
