My wife is the training director for a large chain of preschools ... she earns around $50K.
The directors earn low-mid $30s
The teachers start at $11/hour
The teacher's aides start around $7.50.

Send me a message if you want to know specifics.

It all depends on where you live and who you work for. I was only making $6.50 per hr working as a preschool teacher in AZ. I was teacher of the one year olds, I had my own class and no teacher's aid, watching 6-8 toddlers at a time. Minimum wage in AZ is $5.25, so I wasn't making much more then minimum wage. Preschool teachers generally don't make a whole lot. I looked into working as a preschool teacher (a teacher, not an aid) for Norwegian Cruise Lines and they were only paying about $7.75 per hr. I think that's about what preschool teachers start at here in Bakersfield, CA.
