So many questions...

First, congrats on your decision to buy an iPod - they rock. :) I love mine and don't leave home without it!

You can purchase songs from iTunes, a program that comes with your iPod. You can also download it for free from www.apple.com. The songs you have in your iTunes program sync up to your iPod, so you can put anything you have in iTunes on your new video iPod to listen to or watch. To buy songs, you just browse to the song you want and click the Buy Now button. You'll need a credit card, a debit card, or an iTunes gift card (which you can purchase in lots of places - I always see them in Target for example). You can also buy entire albums the same way, if you'd like. If you're concerned about using a credit card to buy songs, the iTunes cards are the way to go. They're very easy to use, and you don't have to put any of your info out there.

Yes, you can transfer songs you have on CD to your iPod. iTunes had a neat, one button feature that lets you do that. If you want songs on your iPod to be burned onto a CD, iTunes can do that for you to. Just set up the playlist, put in a blank CD, and click the burn CD button. Nice and easy. :)

As for the videos, so far, no you can not download an entire movie (legally). I haven't looked into illegally downloading movies - I think it's wrong, personally - but it wouldn't suprise me if there are ways to do it. What you CAN do is download some of the TV shows, music videos, and cartoons available through the iTunes Music Store. They've got some AWESOME shows lined up. I'm wishing I owned a video iPod as we speak so I could watch Monk and Firefly and lots of other stuff any time I wanted. :)

I hope that helps! iPods are great and they really are pretty incredibly easy to use! :)

OK. I'm sure you'll get 100 responses telling you the same thing...but this question intrigues me and I'm bored.

You need iTunes to put music on your iPod. You can add music to iTunes by copying it from a CD, importing it from another source on your computer, and downloading music. You can download music from the iTunes music store, in which case you would need a credit card. You can always just buy a CD and copy it to iTunes, though some CDs have copy protection. You can also burn CDs from iTunes, provided you have a CD burner.
As for movies, you can download movies, but they take a lot of power from your iPod so you probably won't be able to watch for an entire flight unless you have some way of charging your Pod...

Ok...it's easy. Honest.
You can purchase the songs from anywhere, or (illegally) download free mp3's, but it's easier just to purchase from iTunes, which you will get the software for upon purchasing your iPod. Yes, you can download your cd's...through iTunes, which is where you will create all your playlists and manage your iPod. You don't need to use a credit card to purchase songs from iTunes, you can buy a card in most stores (like Best Buy) with so many songs on it (they're $0.99/ song) and use the card to buy online.
As far as the movies....I think you can, but I'm not sure. Probably depends on the memory.

The other advice listed above is really good, but I just to warn you before you purchase the iPod, make sure you can install iTunes on your work computer before you purchase the iPod. (iTunes is the program you use to upload all your music/videos to the iPod)

Some companies will not allow software from the outside to be installed on their computers at all. Some can, but the companies do not want you wasting their time/money/computer (if the computer belongs to them) to have you messing around with something you shouldn't be doing while at work.

Simply ask your boss/manager for permission first before you get disciplined and/or fired for something you thought would be no problem at all... Peace!

first- buy one, and look at the owner's manual.
you can put songs onto iTunes from CDs or download them. to download you can pay with a credit card or a gift card. You can also put songs into your library that are already on your computer. Then you plug your iPod into your computer, and it is updated.

smash it agaisnt the wall. you buy the songs off itunes - or download for free from Limewire (much cheaper)

yes you can transfer your songs on your CD to yoru Ipod - you must transfer yoru cd to yoru compuyter first however,

you go online and it is step by step process to buy songs with credit card

no cash is not acceptable

yes you can download movies there. i think they have tons of choices. plus you can downlaod free video clips online from many many sites - like vieos.google.com - and many others

umm ya you might be able to on a plane, but theres no internet really unless you have lkaptop... just download before you get on a plane much easier.

you use itunes to buy songs. I have to get an itunes card first. Then you put the code in your account and it allows you to buy songs depending on how much you spent on the card. Same with the videos, only videos cost usually $1.99 and songs cost $0.99. It will come really easy to you once you're used to it!! =)
