Evanston. It's a train ride (or two) from downtown Chicago. And it's closer to O'hare than most of the rest of the city, since the airport is on the northwest side. You could catch a cab from Evanston to Ohare and it would be a lot cheaper than taking one from, say downtown or the Lakeview neighborhood. Evanston could be a good place to work too; lots of shops in the central area and further out, a big University (Northwestern, of course) that employs a lot of people. But it pretty much depends on what sort of work you do.

If you are working in Yorkville, then there is no really good place to live that is close to downtown Chicago or either airport.

The closest suburbs to Yorkville (from your list) are Aurora, Joliet, Bolingbrook, Naperville, and Romeoville. However, each of these cities are about an hour away from either airport. (less, if traffic is not bad.)

Park Ridge is very nice. It's close to the Blue Line (Rapid transit) that goes down the Kennedy expressway, so you can drive downtown (if you don't mind the traffic) or take the "L". If there is NO traffic, you can drive downtown in about 20 minutes. There is also a Metra Station in downtown Park Ridge that takes you downtown. The airport is VERY close. You can get to the other major highways without too much difficulty, too.

i live out in Palatine, I like it and it's convienient, but you probably would like Park Ridge/Edison park Area, it's just north of the airport (o'hare) and a 25-30 minute ride into the loop on the blue line. Are finances an issue? Park Ridge can get very pricey... Des plaines might be a more efficient option, or look into Jefferson Park area.
please email me if you have any more quresrtions i can help with.

Evanston, Rich Folks neighbourhood, great schools, stores, etc. Just anywhere except Chicago, because you'll just get bugged about having the "right" colors.
