My son is 2. Ever since he was born, I have felt empty. My friend recently had a child and I found myself jealous of her being pregnant!!! I do want another child, but I am not the jealous type. I feel empty and I am sad because I cant have another one right now. HOW DO I GET OVER FEELING LIKE THIS? I love my son...i truly do... and I hate feeling like i have someone elses brain. I need some advice. Thanks in advance!

It sounds as though you may have feelings of depression beyond postpartum. It sounds as if you feel generally unsatisfied. This may be due to other factors going on in your life besides issues with your child. Perhaps you should seek some counseling of your own in order to get at the root cause of your unhappiness.

for starters people need to stop thinking that everything is port par-tum depression or just depression in general. maybe you just want anther child.. or if you feel that your son makes you feel empty then perhaps you should give him up for adoption. now think about how empty you would feel if you had to give him up.

Just think can you handle another one? Your son is only 2 u know just love him right now, and try new things with ur son, take him swimming, camping etc.
