I agree with everyone else.
True, you can control your thoughts indirectly by the things you expose yourself to (generally speaking, if you don't know about something, you can't think about it).
But creativity plays a large part -- creativity people are constantly throwing new ideas in the mix, and spontaneously generating ideas in their heads.
So being an "outside the box" person and being exposed to many different things will allow a person to have more spontaneous thoughts, both good and bad ones.
I'll admit that I've thought things -- spontaneously -- that I will simply never share with anyone else. Some are private, while others I find horrendous/despicable and would never do or savor -- but they pop up anyway simply because my brain's wired to explore everything.
(Note: I also have lots of positive creative spontaneous thoughts. The street goes both ways.)
Don't blame yourself for having bad thoughts. Thoughts are like emotions that way: You experience them, but what matters is how you choose to respond to them.
If certain things really bother you, you can share them with someone you trust (to get them in the open and out of your system), or remove things from your environment that might lead your thoughts in that direction.

The brains "thought process." Reasoning, decision making, and "acting out" responses. People who are mentally ill, schizophrenic, say, are sometimes without the ability to decide or "reason" between what would be inappropriate or a "bad" decision.
As we get older, more mature, we can discern between appropriate and inappropriate decisions from those thoughts you just explained. For Example: You get angry at someone in school for messing up your locker or teasing you. You may have a thought in your head to "punch them" or "scream at them," but you choose to just be steamed a bit, turn, and walk away with your other friends.
Someone who is lacking in those reasoning abilities would be either verbally violent, physically violent, or may compose a very intricate and sophisticated method of revenge in some way.
You're okay. It's just your brain giving you a choice. And as people mature, they are faced on a daily basis with those choices.

Yes I do have thoughts like that.
Why it happens is a very complex question. Personally I believe in a spirit, so if you allow that, I also believe the brain is not capable of making moral decisions. These thoughts are just ideas, they are not a reflection of how good of a person you are. How you act on them depends on your spirit.

yes...very normal...according to Sigmund Freud this is called your ID. It's part of your personality that deals with biological needs and factors.....its more like an untamed monster that our Super Ego stablizes.. And that fact that you don't act on them is because of your super ego. That's the part of your personality that deals with your principles and ethics and morals....

it happens...but most of them turn out to be true, cause after a while, I realize that the person was indeed that bad as I imagined it to be or even worse.. It's like intuition, cause Scorpios are said to be very intuitive!
