Here is the Trade-In Value (Good Condition) $2455 for Kelley Blue Book. You are going to lose a lot of value because of the rebuilt title. Rebuilt titles can create issues getting insurance.

Trade-in Value is what consumers can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in unit assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than you would receive from a private party sale because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business. Trade-in values are based on clean units in good condition, with all original standard equipment. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above.

The bike is only worth around $2800 in mint condition because it is 5 going on 6 yrs old.The miles on it really does not matter. The dings in the fuel tank brings down the value a little and the salvage title brings it down even more.$1500 would be considered a fair trade value for the bike but,if you are serious about buying a new one and have one picked out, then I would think a dealer would not turn down an offer around $1800-$2000 if they know they are guranteed a sale.If you are not in a hurry to trade then I would suggest selling it outright to an individual and you could possibly get $2500-$2800.

Good luck

First of all, riding M/c's for years has told me NEVER trade your SCOOT in ...... PERIOD, unless its junk and you just need what you can get for a down payment on another one. Secondly a dealer will only give you a fraction of what its worth, because he has to make a profit too when he sells it. Thirdly, Look up your bike in a Kelly Blue Book for Motorcycles and see if its listed, and go from there,..... or even look in the Motorcycle want ads in your local newspaper and see what the same year and make are going for..... subtracting a little for obvious flaws, dings, leaks, worn chain, broken levers , ect.... You can shine " her " up best you can, find a corner of a shopping center thats safe and out of the way, but can be seen clearly by traffic and put a 4 sale sign on it....... have an idea in mind what you figure its worth, BOTTOM LINE.... and stick to your guns..... that way you 'll get what you want,( hopefully ) and you wont be screwin anybody in the process...... one last thing..... you could put 3 grand into a Ride that even in Cherry condition is only worth 1200, but the 1200 is ALL your going to get for it,........ never pays to throw new money after OLD money, unless your going to keep it for yourself............. then money doesnt even enter into it, its for YOU,,,,,,,,,
Good Luck....... Tom

It's hard to say. Alot of people, dealers included, don't like re-done bikes because they think that something really bad may have happened to it earlier on. You can try selling it on eBay Mototrs. I have sold 2 bikes on there, and got very good prices for both. I think eBay will give you closest to market price.

If title is clean and bike is in good condition you should get no less than the book value for it....and $1500 sounds a little low...looks like a fun ride. Good luck.
