what kind do you want? because you can make it colored and scented.well the easiest one would be an ice candle, what you do is but wax scented or plain(try a candle place for wax and scents and color) then take a pot, put canning rings(wal-mart ask for help) in the bottom and add water til the pot is about half full then take a large empty can(clean spaghetti sauce can) add wax and scent/s, heat til melted(med heat) now while wax is heating take a clean box(milk carton)open the top completely take a wick it should come with a metal thing at the end(craft store)put in the bottom of the box, then take ice and loosely fill around wick up to about an inch from top.after wax is completely melted carefully pour wax in box, let cool for about 2 hour or till it is hard and cool, then over a sink tear off the box trim the wick about a cementer from candle and there you have it,your own hand made ice candle.

use an empty coffee can and melt your wax..if you want scented candles buy some liquid scent at a dept store...when the wax is melted get your jars or containers and put your wick in the bottom and leave top part hangin over edge of jar
pour in the wax, and take a pencil and wrap the part of the wick hanging over the top around the pencil and set it across the top of the candle until the wax is firm..this way the wick will not fall into the wax and will be in the middle of your candle..when firm..trim wick to 1/2 inch and there you are! * make sure you do not reuse old candle jars as they may break or crack..only use safe containers to avoid a fire! Have fun! I love candles! I did a search and make your own candles produced many sites! www.candlewhiz.com was one of them!

You can to your local craft store. Buy a block of wax. At home break it up into small peices. U can either use a crock pot or an old pan and stove, or an electric hotplate and a coffee can (my preference), make sure to have an old pan to put water into it, then the coffee can. Makes for easy storage of left over wax.

For colors the best thing is crayons.

you can then and in scents or oils that you have.

make sure that your wick is longer than need so you can light the candle, when your done.

To build the wax up the wick. dip it in the wax then count to two. pull it out for five, then dip again.

have fun

one word...ear wax. Im jk alot of times you can simply get some sort of a crock put or boiler pot and get the wax from old candles or buy wax from an art store and mix it in with food coloring and I like to add liquid popori. Then you just dip in the string which Im not sure what it is called but people at th art store would know and move it around in circles.

i had a huge candle that wasn't burning evenly but smelled great so i shaved it down then melted the shavings in smaller candle glasses standing in a few inches of hot water. i added a wick which i bought at the craft store and voila! semi-great candles. ok they needed some work but the process was not at all difficult. pick up a candle making kit or buy a book and all the supplies. its fun taking up a new hobby.
