I think if the government actually made alien contact, they would be letting everyone know. What kind of approval rating would they get for it? A huge amount. How much money could the appropriate to study the aliens and their technology? Billions if not trillions. To think they are hiding it is illogical when you think of what the actual goals of the government are.

They'll have to eventually. I watched a program about Russia releasing a report with 1000+ UFO sightings witnessed by their pilots (this was during Yeltsin...Putin isn't releasing any info). And I heard that the Japanese government was going to build a museum completely dedicated to UFO's. In this information age, our government won't be able to keep things secret for very long.

All government everywhere are aliens. Of course they're not going to reveal that to you. They might reveal to someone else, but never to you.

No, because as long as it's only rednecks who report sightings, no one takes it seriously. The government has a deal with the aliens, only fly low over trailer parks and C&W bars.

Is this a serious question? People actually believe this crap about space aliens? Apparently people aren't aware of the technology that would have to exist to transport a space vehicle from one star to another.

You will likely just wake up one day to a new world... one with less freedom and a place for everyone in society, where everyone knows exactly what function they serve.
No little grey guys... because they've become through effort human in appearance.
It's a subtle thing. No one will notice really... But this is just speculation, but...
If something like this were to happen, you might expect a telepathic society.

without some sort of mass hostile ailen invasion no.. cuz people hate things that are different.. and if the goverment said.. "hey theres aliens" we would hate them cuz they arent human there would be xenophobe hate groups everywhere.and then not to mentio the porn that would follow .. blondes on mork? gah i hope not.. my point is humantiy as a whole.. would panic and mass annarchy would insue.. it would both suck and rock at the same time but human racism would be at an all time low..
