They didnt split up they're writing a new album right now and mike shinoda already did his solo project Fort Minor and i heard that Chester Bennington would be coming out with a solo album as well in the future.

Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park took a break for his excellent new side project , Fort Minor(rap-rock).Where'd you Go,their new hit single,is a great new song.the music video is currently on Vspot's countdown and is one of the most downloaded songs.Linkin Park and Fort Minor are great.
