....we have all heard it but is it actually true- did any person/organisation actually ever say this, and mean it?
Obviously it is a true scenario in many cases but I'd like to know if these words are ever actually officially employed?

Well i have never said it, or said to me, but I have been told several times by different people that there going to kill me, you won't believe me when I say this but it's all in a days work, and I'm sure there's plenty of others in my line of work that have been in the same position

No, it's not a true scenario. No one ever gets killed for knowing information they shouldn't. Just ask a mob boss.

If you were told by someone he or she was going to kill you you'd do your hardest not to let that happen, perhaps even by killing them, so I doubt that that was ever said...I'd imagine that they'd just do it without warning or you'd have 'an accident' somewhere somehow...

my name iz reeko from porterikko ... i kill for money... but becoz you are my Friend i will kill you for free !!!! i think i got the accent right with that spelling, this was said to me on holiday there once by one of the locals i was having a laugh and a joke with (at least i thought i was)

actually i think that most of the times when people say that they mean it and that they obviously dont want anybody to know cus then they would "have to kill you"....
